Ever since Maribel was younger she knew that she wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives. This interest led her to study Counselling Psychology. She is committed to the well-being of all her clients and goes above and beyond to cater to their needs.​

Maribel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University in London, Ontario and with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in New Brunswick.

Maribel is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, a Clinical Hypnotherapist, an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) approved Consultant; a member in good standing of EMDR Canada and EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She assisted in EMDRIA approved EMDR Basic Trainings in the past to support other mental health professionals in their learning and application of EMDR therapy and has served as a faculty member for an International Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapy Master Level/Advanced Hypnotherapy Training Retreat in Costa Rica.

Maribel specializes in trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, adult ADHD, grief/loss, life transitions, relationship issues, stress, and sex therapy. She integrates various therapeutic modalities into her clinical practice such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnotherapy, Somatic  Experiencing, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Family Systems, among others.

Maribel works with a diverse population of clients including but not limited to First Responders, Veterans, First Nations, and WSIB clients.
