Willow Hutchinson

Clinical Associate, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Bio

Willow is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University in Ottawa and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in religion from Carleton University in Ottawa.

Willow provides online services to adult individuals from diverse backgrounds including the 2SLBGTQIA + community.

Willow’s therapeutic approaches are primarily person-centered. To her, this means that your concerns come first, she discusses your therapeutic goals with you, and will work together with you to establish a plan to collaboratively accomplish them.

Willow also uses other therapeutic modalities in her therapy sessions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other approaches to suit her client’s needs. Narrative Therapy is a particular type of modality that Willow enjoys using with her clients as it is based on the notion that we are the authors of our own life stories and as such we have the power to change them.
